Membership in the West Side Pioneer Association The West Side Pioneer Association (WSPA) was organized as a place where people interested in the history of Tracy and the greater Tracy area could meet and work together to perpetuate the history of the City of Tracy and the Greater Tracy District within Tulare Township. Its purpose is:
Membership in the West Side Pioneer Association is open to anyone interested in the history of Tracy and the greater Tracy area. Activities of the WSPA include operating the Tracy Historical Museum, a third grade history program at the historic Lammersville School, and a third grade history program at the museum. The Historic Landmark Committee also works to preserve historic sites and buildings in Tracy and the greater Tracy area. Periodically we participate in field trips to historic sites in the area. At our monthly meetings we have speakers who share their insights, research, and slide presentations about many different facets of the area’s history. Monthly meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Lolly Hansen Senior Center, 375 East 9th Street, Tracy CA. |
